Coming Home

 - Halper (c. 1999)

Late December - filled with cheer,
We only see each other once a year,
But don't you worry - cause I'm coming home.
I'm on my way back home.

Maybe this year we'll have some time
To relax and unwind.
I'd really like that when I'm home.
Yes, I'd sure like that when I'm home.

We can talk of old time, we can talk of new.
You can tell me what you like to do.
I'd like to find out when I'm home.
I'd love to find out when I'm home.

We'll sing some carols and see a show.
I'll stay a few days and then I'll go.
I hope this year brings us lots of joy.
I'll always be your little boy.
And I'm coming home.

I'll speak of good times, I'll mention friends,
I'll tell you all my loves once again.
I'm sure I'll tell you when I'm home.
Yes, I'll sure tell you when I'm home.

It always happens this time of year.
The colder weather helps release my fear.
I think I'll hug you when I'm home.
I'm gonna hug you when I'm home.
