Natural Birch 12/11 Hammered Dulcimer

12/11 Natural Birch Hammered Dulcimer features a beautiful Celtic Knot rosette sound hole. The rosettes are made from laser cut solid wood and are inset into the soundholes. A very attractive and great sounding dulcimer ideal for the beginner or casual player!

The dulcimer comes with a tuning wrench, set of hardwood hammers and the book TK O'Brien's Guide To Playing The Hammered Dulcimer. Included are note guide strips to place on the dulcimer to help learn the courses (strings). These strips help the beginner or player who doesn't read music to start hammering out simple tunes within a very short time. Another unique feature is a slot in the back of the dulcimer to fit a rod (included) used for playing the dulcimer on a table. A padded heavy duty nylon carrying case is also included to protect your dulcimer with a roomy pocket for holding books and hammers! The package comes with a scissors stand (shown below) that folds up into a VERY compact space! A "stand up" stand will be inculded automatically unless you specifically request a "sit down" stand.

Natural Birch Custom Lap Harp

The Custom Lap Harp is an acoustic, handcrafted folk instrument. Also known as a plucked psaltery, this trapezoidal shaped musical instrument provides its player with immediate rewards by producing a heavenly sound. Music cards that slip under the strings are what make playing the lap harp so easy. Simply follow the upward and downward lines and pluck the strings which lay directly over the notes below. The range of notes covers 2 full octaves in the key of G. Hard wood is used for the frame and hard maple is used for the pin block for tuning stability. All models have an environmentally friendly water based lacquer finish. The starter set of music is written in a 'connect the dots' style for the ultimate in easy playing for everyone regardless of music background. But, in addition, an easy to follow system of adding harmony notes is incorporated into the music.

Adding to the looks, the sides flare out and the soundhole has a solid wood laser cut rosette insert. This psaltery comes as a package with a padded carrying case, gooseneck tuning wrench, set of replacement strings, pick and starter music. The starter set of music includes Amazing Grace, Scarborough Fair, Oh Susanna, When the Saints Go Marching In, In the Good Old Summertime, She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain, This Train, On Top of Old Smoky, Suwannee River, By the Light of the Silvery Moon, You Are My Sunshine and Sounds of Silence.
